dc.description.abstractThis study was done as a part of a course in “Forskerveiledning på Master og PhD nivå”. The relationship between a supervisor and the student has been claimed as the variable that is most important for the research process to succeed. The relationship might be categorised in three different models: The teaching, the partnership and the apprentice model. The teaching model represents the teacher – student relationship and asymmetry, the partnership model is described as dialog and reciprocal responsibility, and the apprentice model is the supervision as a part of a collective research project. The aim of the study was to increase the awareness of supervising during an observation of the interaction between a supervisor and her student.en_US
