The main question of this paper is whether taking into account the social reality of the word knowledge', through the method of pragmatics, attributes something to its meaning that lexical semantics alone cannot?'. Nine types of context have been made in order to make a structural analyses of the meaning of the word knowledge' from the books Daniel, Proverbs, Isaiah and The Apocalypse of Adam. These types of context will result in a particular understanding of the word knowledge' for each text. From these understandings we can hopefully say more about the social realities behind the texts relating to the concept of knowledge'.en_US
