The study has investigated how participation in music therapy can be experienced and be a support in an everyday-life of depression. In order to understand their experiences in context of music therapy as a health-service in mental health care, are they seen in context of a Recovery perspective. Four qualitative interviews where produced, presented and compiled with a hermeneutical and phenomenological approach. The findings showed that participation in music therapy could lead to challenging and positive experiences of collaborating with others and being active with music. It also showed that there was a correlation between experiences in music therapy and experiences from the everyday-life. Experiences of music and supportive collaboration could lead to positive feelings, a strengthened self-image, new insight and a changed perspective. These experiences led to new opportunities to live and master an everyday-life of depression.en_US
