Håp gjennom musikkterapi - Ein kvalitativ studie om musikkterapeutars perspektiv på håp i psykisk helsevern

Abstract

Oppgåva har tatt utganspunkt i problemstillingane «Kva er håpet si rolle i musikkterapeutiske prosessar i psykisk helsevern?» og «Korleis kan musikkterapeuten arbeide som arkitekt for håp?». Problemstillingane har blitt belyst gjennom både teoretiske perspektiv og empiriske funn frå to fokusgruppeintervju med musikkterapeutar som arbeidar i psykisk helsevern. Funndelen trekte fram «Klienten og håp», «Draumen om håpet» og «Å vere i endring», som sentrale faktorar for å forklare håpet og dei underliggande dynamikkane. Til slutt konkluderer oppgåva med at «Håpet er relevant for alle», «Ein kan vere aktiv i andre personar sitt håp» og «Håpet er ikkje utan fallgruver».

The master thesis is based on the topic questions “What role do hope have in music therapy processes within mental health care?” and “How can the music therapist work as an architect for hope?”. The topic questions has been discussed through theoretical perspectives and empirical findings from data collection in two focus group-interviews, with music therapists working in mental health care. By conducting focus groups the thesis shows that “The client and hope”, “Dreaming about hope” and “To be in change”, are central factors when trying to explain hope and the underlying dynamics. Finally, the master thesis concludes that “Hope is relevant for everybody”, “You can be a part of other persons hope” and “Hope is not without risk”.
