dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this thesis is to explore how Digital Audio Workstations can be used as a resource in preventive work with youth at risk in music therapy. The data has been collected by conducting semi-structured interviews with adolescents in an adapted open meeting place. The findings indicate that DAW gives youth at risk the opportunity to step into the role as producers and artists, instead of being referred to as a problem child or a youth at risk. The findings also suggest that DAW provides youth at risk the opportunity for participation at an individual level, in smaller environments and at a social level through physical and virtual environments. | en_US |
