To understand women in ancient Egypt is a complex matter depending on many factors. One has to be aware that the texts might reflect norms and customs, rather then a rule of how the life of every women where. With this in mind, one understands that the role of women is highly dependent on each individual; time and space, social belonging, resources, and perhaps more important the ambissions and contact network of the woman. From this I conclude that at least some women enjoyed the same possibilities, rights and privileges as men did.en_US
