dc.description.abstract | In the Boreas Basin in the northern Greenland Sea, convection has been observed to be localized as narrow structures - chimneys - in which the water masses may be homogeneous from the surface through great depths. An experiment was carried out in the ares by R/V Håkon Mosby of the University of Bergen with an aim to detect and investigate chimneys, their structure, and the inherent convective plumes. | en_US |
