Control over sexual reproductive health: stressor and resources for Makerere University students Kampala, Uganda. An exploratory study.
Abstract
Sexual reproductive health (SRH) and rights play a central role in overall human wellbeing, however unsafe sexual practices still constitute the second highest risk factor for death and disability in the world''s poorest communities. University students in Uganda suffer the highest rates of SRH problems even though several programs and strategies have been targeted towards the youth. A knowledge gap remains regarding youth's experiences with management of SRH problems and risks. Using a Salutogenic model of health, this study sought out to explore the experiences, perspectives and attitudes of university students on their control over SRH in Kampala, Uganda
