Abstract
Bokmålsordboka and Nynorskordboka represent the two official Norwegian written varieties, Bokmål and Nynorsk. This article discusses whether their current digitized versions should be considered as

two separate dictionaries or as one dictionary including two varieties. User feedback indicates that their common digital platform at ordbok.uib.no might raise some expectations of features associated with a bilingual dictionary. How does that influence the lexicographer’s choices when revising the two dictionaries in parallel in an ongoing five-year project?
