Abstract
If supersymmetry (SUSY) is realised at experimental energies and R-parity is conserved, sparticles might be produced and decay in cascades at the LHC. A neutral LSP will escape detection, complicating the reconstruction of SUSY events. For the determination of sparticle masses methods based on the observed particles' kinematical endpoints have been developed. In relation to these methods useful information might be also be extracted from the complete shape of the invariant mass distributions. In this thesis we derive analytical shape formulas for distributions resulting from SUSY cascades with decaying taus in the final state.
