In this paper it is the development of the notion of an evil figure that became the source of the introduction of sins and evil things on earth. In fact there are two questions that will be dealt with in this paper; the explanation to how the fall of the devil came about and how sin and evilness were introduced to man. The texts which will be investigated in this paper are the legend that tells about the life of Adam and Eve; The Life of Adam and Eve. A text called Apocalypse of Sedrach and the Gospel of Bartholomew, some Surahs from the Quran, the Holy book of Islam and also some Hadith will be investigated. This study shows that there are many similarities between texts and Scriptures that has originated in the different religious traditions. The similarities consist of that it is described that sin was introduced by the Fall of Satan, that initiated the Fall of Man, resulting in that Adam and Eve was punished by God: they was expelled from Paradise and became the Devil's prey". Moreover, the Devil will hunt for the souls of the sinners in order lead them astray from the path of God.
