La traducción de la metáfora de español a noruego

Abstract

This paper deals with the translation of metaphor from Spanish to Norwegian. Identifying metaphorical structures in two works of Latin American literature according to Lakoff's definition of metaphor and classifying the methodology according to the modes of metaphor translation proposed by Van den Broeck, the present study performs an analysis on how the strategies that are used in the process of transfer of metaphors would be able to determine the regional validity or interregional of this type of sentences. The novels are: La casa de los espíritus (The House of the Spirits), published in Norwegian as Åndenes hus, and Como agua para chocolate (Like Water for Chocolate), published in Norwegian as Hjerter i chili.
