EL espanol hablado en chiloe e influencia de la lengua williche: analisis fonologico

Abstract

El español y el williche han coexistido por más de dos siglos en el Archipiélago de Chiloé, y aunque en la actualidad la cantidad de hablantes del williche sea reducida, y la mayoría de estos maneje solamente el español, aún existen comunidades que conservan la lengua y la williche mongen o modo de vida tradicional williche. El presente trabajo analiza el contacto lingüístico entre los idiomas mencionados anteriormente, especialmente enfocado en la posible influencia fonética de la lengua williche en el español hablado actualmente en Chiloé y cómo esta variante se diferencia del español hablado en el resto de Chile. Mediante entrevistas libres se registra, en primer lugar, el habla de habitantes del archipiélago de Chiloé, para posteriormente analizar los sistemas fonéticos y fonológicos de la lengua williche y del español hablado en Chile. Posteriormente se comparan ambos sistemas fonológicos para, de esta manera identificar qué variantes corresponden a la lengua williche y qué fenómenos son propios del español.

Spanish and Williche (a dialect from Mapudungun) had coexisted for more than two centuries in the Chiloé Archipelago and even though there is currently a minor quantity of native speakers of Williche, since most of them are only Spanish monolinguals, there are still some communities that speak their language and live following the traditional Williche lifestyle. This work analyses the linguistic contact between Spanish and Williche, and it is especially focused on a possible phonetic influence of the Williche language in Spanish spoken by people of Chiloé, as well as how this variety differs from Chilean Spanish. First of all, the Chiloé variety of Spanish is recorded throughout free interviews. Consequently, the phonetic and phonological systems of both Chilean Spanish and Williche are analysed. Finally both systems are compared with the purpose of identifying what phenomena come from the Chilean Spanish and what variety can be attributed to Williche.
