dc.description.abstract | This thesis is about designing, developing and evaluating a 3D web-based prototype to facilitate the learning of abstract concepts within the natural science curriculum for the 10th grade. This work is divided into several parts. First, the background is presented giving an insight of what motivated this project. Thereafter, a theoretical framework is discussed in details for designing and developing web-based leaning environments. A discussion of some developing models is taken, and the chosen design model is explained in details; followed by a detailed description of how all the steps of the planning, design and development phases were applied for producing the 3D web-based prototype (henceforth: 3D prototype). An evaluation section is dedicated to present the evaluation methods, results and data analysis. At the end, a discussion of some suggested improvements and conclusions are presented. | en_US |
