dc.description.abstract | The aim of this thesis is to evaluate measures of gait symmetry in subjects with disease or injury related to one-sided affection. This thesis also aims to relate objective measures of gait quality (gait symmetry) to other more frequently used measures of function (gait velocity) and self-reported function in patients with disease or injury resulting in asymmetric gait. Finally, this thesis aims to emphasize how methodological and clinical perspectives and demands related to the exactness of objective measurements and clinical applicability may be united, although often considered incompatible. | en_US |
