Abstract
I dette prosjektet studerte vi rollen til den cellulære energisensoren Adenosine Monophosphate Aktivert Protein Kinase (AMPK) ved mitokondriell biogenese i en ny reportercellemodell, HelaNRF1mitoGFP. To kjente AMPK agonister, 5-aminoimidazole-4-carboxamide ribonucleotide (AICAR) og metformin, og antagonisten Compound C (CC), ble brukt til å studere AMPK fosforylering og aktivering i HelaNRF1mitoGFP cellene. Effektene ble undersøkt ved å måle immunofluoresens ved hjelp av flowcytometri, og proteinutrykk ved hjelp av western blotting.
